The Long Beach Symphony welcomes guest conductor Gemma New

The Long Beach Symphony will be welcoming New Zealand-born conductor and music director candidate Gemma New , who will be directing the orchestra on March 5. The concert will feature the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, Samuel Barber, Guztav Mahler and the voice of acclaimed soprano Elissa Johnston. “I adore her voice,” said Kelly Ruggirello, executive director of the symphony.
